Nowadays, each country has its own language - less or more different from languages spoken in other states. Is it a good idea to introduce one language spoken worldwide? In my point of view it won't help in international relations.
First of all, variety of languages help people from different parts of globe to integrate with each other. For example, students who attend in Socrates-Erasmus programme, going abroad meet people who speaks different languages. They must somehow communicate with colleagues from other countries thus they learn other languages and integrate with people doing this. Integration apart from differences is the best way to improve international relations.
Secondly, strange language and culture that we meet abroad is one of the arguments why we do like travelling abroad. Learning a new language and culture can be fascinating especially when we connect this with visiting new places and meeting new people. If it have been one language spoken worldwide, people wouldn't be travelling and visiting new countries so often because it wouldn't be so "strange" - therefore fascinating.
Thirdly, every nation should preserve its own, original culture and language is a part of this culture. Despite creating the European Union, countries saved their own languages because they didnt want to lost their original cultures and differences.
In my opinion one language spoken worldwide is not a good idea. Languages should be different, we should integrate with other nations by learning languages and thats the way we can improve international relations. Language as a part of nations culture should be preserved and every nation should be proud that he can speak his own language.
